Basics of Quantum Computation : Part 1
de.arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph/0407064 [HTML, PDF, Postscript, GZIP]
Description: The aim of this textbook is to bridge in regard of quantum computation what proves to be a considerable threshold even to the usual science trained readership between the level of science popularization, and on the other hand, the presently available more encyclopedic textbooks. In this respect the present textbook is aimed to be a short, simple, rigorous and direct introduction, addressing itself only to quantum computation proper.

Motion Mountain : The Physics Textbook
www.motionmountain.net [HTML/Javascript, PDF]
This site publishes a free physics textbook that introduces thermodynamics, special and general relativity, electrodynamics, quantum theory, quantum field theory and modern unification attempts. The Motion Mountain project aims to produce a simple, vivid and up-to-date introduction into modern physics, with emphasis on the fundaments of motion. `Simple` means that concepts are stressed more than formalism; `vivid` means that the reader is permanently challenged; `up-to-date` means that unification is presented in detail. more info

Quantiki
www.quantiki.org [HTML/Javascript]
Quantiki is currently an experimental project hosted by the University of Cambridge`s Centre for Quantum Computation. The intention is to provide an encyclopedia for quantum information that can be edited by the community (a wiki). Quantiki provides lists of groups and people working on quantum information theory as well as resources for the quantum information community which include events, jobs, the history of the field and links to quantum blogs. Tutorial material is included as well, such as introductions to key concepts in quantum theory, or a handbook of quantum information which contains an encyclopaedia of everything on quantum information. Quantiki incorporates information of the former qubit.org service. more info
Quantum Computation
de.arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph/9812037 [HTML, PDF, Postscript, TAR, GZIP]
This review is about to tell the story of theoretical quantum computation. It begins with background on theoretical computer science, Turing machines and Boolean circuits. In light of these models, quantum computers are defined, and the issue of universal quantum gates are discussed. Quantum algorithms are explained. Much attention is devoted to understanding what the origins of the quantum computational power are, and what the limits of this power are. The possible implications of quantum computation on fundamental physical questions, such as the transition from quantum to classical physics are discussed. more info
