This webpage is a direct entry point to the High Energy Physics - Lattice section of arXiv.org, a fully automated electronic archive and distribution server for research papers. Different options to find a paper are provided: e.g. a list of abstracts of papers received that day (new), or a compilation of authors and titles for submissions of the previous days (recent). Users may view the abstract of a particular paper by entering the paper number (abs), and last but not least search interfaces are offered that enable users to search the archives. Several choices for downloading and viewing papers are included. How to submit a paper is explained by the detailed help function of the site. Expert`s comment/Expertenkommentar:The electronic preprint archives at arXiv.org are accepted and regularly consulted by the overwhelming majority of researchers in high-energy physics and related areas, as a primary source of information and quick access to recent research. Although entries are not subject to peer review (assuming future journal publication), there is a new system of quality control (endorsement). Preprint versions can be replaced, but any changes are documented and can be easily tracked. more info

Das Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB) ist aus der Fusion des ehemaligen Hahn-Meitner-Instituts Berlin (HMI) und der Berliner Elektronenspeicherring-Gesellschaft für Synchrotronstrahlung (BESSY) hervorgegangen. Forschung am HZB gliedert sich in folgende vier Bereiche: Solarenergieforschung, Großgeräte, Magnetische Materialien und Funktionale Materialien. Das Helmholtz-Zentrum betreibt zwei wissenschaftliche Großgeräte: den Forschungsreaktor BER II für Experimente mit Neutronen und den Elektronenspeicherring BESSY II, der hochbrillante Synchrotronstrahlung vom Terahertz- bis in den Röntgenbereich erzeugt.
